3D Artist

Job Description:
We are looking for an amazing 3D Artist who can contribute to the development of amazing games to join our team! As an outsourcing company RedCerberus helps several teams developing games ranging all genres. In the position of 3D artist, you’ll be responsible for the creation of high-quality 3D Assets based off of concepts from our talented art teams. You will have to be flexible and quickly adapt to different art styles and translate all of it into a cohesive 3D piece that matches the project’s art direction. You will also work alongside art directors, producers and different teams to explore and iterate on the visual style of a project. This is a remote position.

3D Artist Responsibilities:
1. Create high quality realistic and/or stylized 3D game art: from props to buildings, characters and landscape according to client/partners brief and art direction for the title.
2. Model and sculpt low and high polygon assets being able to optimize their mesh within technical limitations for each project.
3. UV Mapping.
4. Texturing and preparing assets for key visuals and 3D pieces.
5. Understand technical constraints and integrate/provide solutions to the project.
6. Work alongside the broader art team – art director, producers, character and level designers, concept artists - to brainstorm ideas in order to deliver concepts and work with the 2D team to ensure directional alignment from concept to final asset.
7. Proactively communicate and coordinate tasks with the team members before and after you in the content production pipeline.
8. Work with other departments to anticipate and solve/mitigate technical challenges within given constraints and visual requirements.
9. Help find visual solutions that adhere to the art direction, gameplay and technical aspects of a game.

Requirements:
As a person, you are a natural troubleshooter with an analytical mindset. You possess good communication skills, with willingness to take initiative and can adapt to different people and changes. You take pride in delivering top quality. We are looking for someone who has experience working with concept art, character design and overall illustration to help produce art-ready assets for games that reach a wide audience. We are looking for someone who has a strong portfolio that demonstrates the skills needed for this position as well as sense of visual style. This ideal person can adapt to different art styles and guidelines provided by art directors and can clearly communicate on task deliveries and organization skills.
1. Expertise with ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter and similar industry-standard softwares.
2. Good general knowledge in perspective, volume, lighting and composition.
3. Adapts well to new processes and pipelins and knows how to communicate with different team members to ensure top quality.
4. Ability to take direction well.
5. Knowledge on industry standard tools such as Maya, ZBrush, Blender, MarmoSet Toolbag, Substance Painter or similar tools.
6. Skills in both organize and hard-surface modelling.
7. Strong ability to research and reference material that supports new ideas and problem-solving.
8. Strong interest in game development and curiosity for the games industry.
9. Intermediate/Advanced English.
Plus: Some knowledge in animation
